This means public performance (live shows and concerts) and broadcasting (radio and television) are the main users. This is called performance and broadcast royalty that is paid to the relevant collection societies who keep such monies on account for distribution to their members – writers, composers, artists’ and owners or managers of copyright music. This includes you so it makes sense for you to become a member of the relevant collection societies so you can receive your share of royalties for the public performance and broadcast of your music.
